a different moral topography
so everybody flinched when we heard bush talk about the axis of evil - yet few of us have problems with the 'free world' or carving up the world based on the ethics of human rights. so what do you make of Iran's global epistemology?

I don't see how it's any less specious than what the U.S. administration says, though it's tough to compare given that the U.S.A. doesn't have clerics in the cabinet. [Does the Federal Reserve Board count?] These claims of nonviolence might ring truer if Iran didn't have an active duty army of about a half million men. Hell, my father worked for Bell Helicopter over there in the 1970s. If the international community gives Iran the choice of building a nuclear weapon, I'm sure the Iranian government will convince the people of Iran that they need one, just like the U.S. "needs" a missile defense shield.
