on YouTube, in the gray box to the right of the videos, below About This Video, there's a snippet of code labelled Embed, which you paste into your blog post. the default dimensions are a little big for our format, so you should resize them down to 400 x 334 pixels. there are height and width attributes in the code that you just overwrite.
ReplyDeletephotos are easy, too. there's a photo button in the blog post editor. it'll prompt you for size and location of the photo you want to upload. if you're uploading from the 'net and not your hard drive you'll need to know the location of the image, where it's stored, not the page on which it displays. if you right click on an image and hit Properties you can copy the Location URL into the blogger prompt.
test it out and let me know if what I said makes sense. you can always delete the post if it looks like crap or is just a test run.
of course, there are also copyright issues... hahahaha...
to get around that at work we find most of our visual content via search.creativecommons.org, which shows only content labeled with alternative "copyleft" licenses.
avast, pirates!
PS - we miss you!
